One week of school
The week's been pretty hectic. It's been filled with a lot of lectures because I'm taking 6 modules this semester. Film Art has been quite demanding. Even though the explanation's a little high-leveled for a non-Arts student like me and the film shown was pretty boring, I still don't regret taking it because it gave me a new perspective on movies. And the movies later on should get more interesting. The Einstein lecture is also pretty good. Even though the lecturer looks a little bookish, his lectures are actually interesting and his passion is kind of infectious. This lecture also gave me a new perspective of space and time. There's nothing much else to note about the other lectures. The freshman seminar was disappointing. It wasn't really engaging and the topics were a little out of reach. There was still some free time in between lectures for the week and I had trouble finding things to do. There wasn't many people to talk to in school as well. Like I've said before, it's quite sad that university is so individualistic. Watching the people walk by, I realised time is ticking by and I'm not making full use of my time. I'm already in my second semester and there are not more semesters left. I still do not feel attached to NUS and I don't think I will feel any different when I'm leaving. And when I graduate out into the working world, it will feel worse. How I wish I could use Einstein's equations to slow everything down and make everyone forget everything else and enjoy each others' company.

2006 CAP score
This is how I've done in year 2006.
Family - B+ Had a family trip to China in June. Got to know my father and mother a little better through talking with them about their childhood. Relations with sister better though still not close.
Friends - A- Made a lot of good friends in MRF. Bonding still strong even in university. VS gang still meet up at least once a week for soccer and other activities even after 6 or 7 years. Made some friends in university though I don't see most of them often. Primary and JC friends have not been seen for quite a long time, unfortunately.
Relationships - D+ Still pretty bad in this department.
Football - B+ Played about once a week for the year. The KACC team lost every game we played so that's pretty bad but it is made up by our enthusiasm. Played for Ziyong cousin's team and played quite well for most of the matches. Have to work on physical strength, stamina, heading and left foot more for the next year.
Fun - B- Had great fun in the last few months of MRF but university life has been pretty boring for the past year. Wasn't as good as expected.
Finance - C+ Hasn't earned much for 2006. Couldn't find a tuition job to bring in income. But then, expenses hasn't been a lot so it hasn't been too bad.
CAP score : 3.1

Holiday in review
The holidays have ended and it's time to start scholl all over again. I guess this holidays hasn't been really fruitful. I hadn't achieved much this holidays. I had wanted to get a holiday job but only ended up doing a surveyor job which paid miserably. The rest of the holidays were spent primarily on having fun. Went for quite a number of K outings and movie outings. Some of them were just to meet up with friends I had not seen for some time. I also went to Kukup in Malaysia for a Christmas trip which was a totally new experience for me. It was totally out of my comfort zone because I didn't really know anyone in the trip and most of them were older than me. It was a refreshing experience as I played with fireworks for the first time in my life and played with fishes at the kelong that we visited. I also went to JB yet again for this holidays although this time round, it was with a new bunch of people from my OG. The customs took surprisingly long and we reached JB only at 2. We ate at Secret recipe which I had eaten for many times. We then broke up for our individual activities. Ho Teck and I had our hair cut while the girls went shopping. We then met up together for karaoke. The faicilities were pretty good but we were kind of ripped off with the snacks costing a bomb. After that, only me, Ho teck and Arthur had our dinner while the rest wanted to go home. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant in City Square. Overall, the trip was ok. I met my objective of cutting my hair. But it wasn't as adventurous as the previous JB trips I had. However, it would take a bunch of crazy people to think of having an adventure in JB. So the trip was actually normal. I also went for a chalet this holidays in Sentosa. It was a family chalet but it was more like a kids' chalet. There was only one adult, my auntie. And there were 7 kids with me being the oldest one. I made my way to Sentosa with 3 of my cousins. We didn't want to take a taxi there so we made our way there via MRT and then bus but along the way, we walked a lot as we tried to find our way. The journey to the chalet was ardous and we collapsed on the bed after reaching. We played beach soccer after that and it was fun even though it was dark. Played monopoly until about 3 in the morning after that. It was taking too long and so we imposed 200 dollar fines on all the corner plots e.g free parking and Go. The next morning, we went to the Luge. I haven't played that before so it was a new experience. It was very fun but it was quite expensive but luckily my auntie was the sponsor. My kart was the fastest because I was the heaviest and it was exciting although not as much as the real go kart at Jurong. I went back early after that because I had to do my bidding.
These are the modules I got.
Principles of Economics - I haven't taken Econs before so I should be disadvantaged. I took this module because some friends are taking and also because of some interest.
Einstein - Took this because Understanding the Universe bid points is too high.
Freshman Seminar - Because this is my last chance of taking this module.
Introduction to Film Art - Because I get to watch movies every week.
