One week of school
The week's been pretty hectic. It's been filled with a lot of lectures because I'm taking 6 modules this semester. Film Art has been quite demanding. Even though the explanation's a little high-leveled for a non-Arts student like me and the film shown was pretty boring, I still don't regret taking it because it gave me a new perspective on movies. And the movies later on should get more interesting. The Einstein lecture is also pretty good. Even though the lecturer looks a little bookish, his lectures are actually interesting and his passion is kind of infectious. This lecture also gave me a new perspective of space and time. There's nothing much else to note about the other lectures. The freshman seminar was disappointing. It wasn't really engaging and the topics were a little out of reach. There was still some free time in between lectures for the week and I had trouble finding things to do. There wasn't many people to talk to in school as well. Like I've said before, it's quite sad that university is so individualistic. Watching the people walk by, I realised time is ticking by and I'm not making full use of my time. I'm already in my second semester and there are not more semesters left. I still do not feel attached to NUS and I don't think I will feel any different when I'm leaving. And when I graduate out into the working world, it will feel worse. How I wish I could use Einstein's equations to slow everything down and make everyone forget everything else and enjoy each others' company.
