The United Way
I just watched Manchester United's humiliating defeat to Liverpool at their own home ground. It was very frustrating to watch as all the goals conceded were due to basic errors. I thought they would have learned their lesson at Anfield but history repeated itself again. It was also the fourth time we watched the match at Qinyao's house and every match we watched there ended in defeat. The curse has not been broken yet and I'm dying for the day when we can finally celebrate a victory there.
I still believe that at the end of the season, Manchester United will be crowned champions. I read an article recently in the papers and it talked about why Manchester United have been champions so many times in the past two decades. The reason behind their success is not due to how they win their matches but how they respond to losing. Everytime they lost, they will strive to make things right again. They will get fired up and go on a winning streak. This is an important lesson for us to learn. We will face setbacks in our lives some day. It's how we respond to these setbacks that determine our success. Are we going to get demoralised and wallow in self-pity, never having the courage to stand up again? Or are we going to do it the United Way, bounce back straight up and set things right again?
