Laksa
I watched the recently concluded 9 o'clock show on channel 8 about reunion dinner. In that show, Kym Ng was learning how to cook laksa from her father-in-law. She took it seriously while her husband was lackluster about it. When her husband was cooking a bowl of laksa for his mother, he cooked the noodles for a shorter than required period of time. Kym Ng scolded him and he retorted that it's only a minor thing. Kym Ng then said that a little bit here and a little bit there and the result would be very different. I thought about it and felt: Isn't it the same with our projects and reports? The difference between an A grade and a B grade project is often in the details which most of us do not bother much about. So, with my projects coming up, I will have to work on them like I'm cooking a good bowl of laksa. Hopefully, what comes out will be a bowl of Katong Laksa or the famous Toa Payoh Laksa.
