Leaving
I will be leaving Singapore for the Philippines on Wednesday morning for my overseas CIP trip. It's been about 3 months since I first went for the interview and attended many meetings and did many projects along the way. It had not been a smooth journey and not exactly fulfilling as well but it was a good learning experience. Through working with people, I learnt more about myself as well as others. Some people were more responsible and committed than others and it is quite obvious after a while who are the ones working. I have purposely avoided any sort of leadership position and kept a low profile but I think I did everything I am supposed to do. Nonetheless, regardless of the level of commitment, we will be going there together as a group.
I think it will be quite an adventure and I am looking forward to it. However, I have to admit that I am a little afraid of the flight to Philippines, as well as the security over there. I will still need to go to the temple once before I fly off to set my mind at ease. Philippines should be fun but there are some things about Singapore that I will miss. I will definitely miss football but I just bought a mini football, so I can play football over there. It will be my night time entertainment. Other than football, I will miss family and friends definitely. I hope I can get to eat home-cooked meals and see everyone again. Hopefully, everything will go well and I will have a whole new experience over there. After all, not many people will get to go to Philippines in their lives.
