Rotaract Tournament
Group photo, but there's a girl this time
Ouch!

Me in action. Looks quite cool, right?
We just concluded our participation for the Rotaract club futsal tournament. We got knocked out at the quarter finals. It was a good learning experience and maybe with a little bit more luck, we could have gotten further. It's quite hard to take defeat when you know it could easily have been different. Nonetheless, we can take heart from our performances. No one could match us for passion and desire. It was really great to see everyone fighting hard to come back after conceding. We showed that we could match the more professional and skilful teams. I'm sure we can only get better as we play more often.
The tournament was a platform for the rotaract people to sell us their merchandise for fund-raising. They made use of their girls to tempt us into buying their shirts and drinks. Our no.21 and no.23 couldn't resist the temptation and bought shirts from them. It was a really effective tactic because a lot of people bought some things from them, me included. I only bought a drink though. I think it's hard to resist when a girl tries to sell you something. In the end, the tournament ended with a prize-giving presentation. But there was no medals or trophies. Only cash prizes. So in a way, it doesn't hurt so much. We only want a trophy, so that we can put it in Qinyao's house and do a ritual on it every Saturday.
