Train Man
Today, while on the train, a Caucasian sat beside me. He offered a handshake and introduced himself and I did likewise. He said he was from the United States, from the state of Utah. I asked him what he was doing in Singapore and he said he was a Christian missionary and is here to spread the faith. He is on a tour of duty to Southeast Asia that lasts 2 years and will be here in Singapore for 3 months. He is currently preaching at churches over Singapore. I was quite surprised that there are actually missionaries that really go around the world to spread their faith. He then proceeded to ask me whether I am a Christian and whether I believe in God. I got a little uncomfortable and told him I am a Buddhist and don't really believe in God. Nonetheless, he gave me a book on Christianity and told me to contact him if I am interested. I read the book on the way back and got to know Christianity a little better. But I still think I will stick to being a Buddhist.
