Stuntman
I can't help but post this. I destroyed the NUSSU van! It has been sent for repairs and it's all because of me. Ho Teck and I were supposed to run errands for BHBH3, our overseas cip project. We had to bring donated stuff down to a warehouse in Kaki Bukit for packing. He was supposed to do the driving because only he has the NUSSU license. I was ineligible because I had less than a year of driving experience. However, we decided that I will do the driving because I have more experience driving manual cars. The NUSSU van is the only van available for use in NUS but despite its importance, it was badly maintained. There was no air-conditioning and one of the headlights was cracked. It was a torture driving the van and to make things worse, the side window malfunctioned halway and could not be retracted. We were sweating throughout the journey. It was a long journey from NUS to Kaki Bukit and we had a hard time finding the warehouse. It also rained on our way there. The journey was mostly accident-free except for one close shave where I did not notice a parked car and nearly hit it. The journey back was also relatively smooth. I successfully parked the van at Raffles Hall after a long and tiring day. I was totally exhausted mentally. I switched off the engine and waited at Raffles Hall while Ho Teck went to return the key. While waiting, I noticed smoke coming out from the front of the van. The smoke was rising into the air and it was very conspicuous at night. I was worried sick and was hoping the smoke would stop soon but it did not. It went on for around 20 minutes. We called the person in charge but he said it was nothing to worry about. However, the next day, he called and said the van's engine is damaged by rain seeping in through the cracked headlight. It was by no means by direct fault but I think they won't let me drive the van again. Sorry, i mean they won't let Ho Teck drive the van again.
