I have not written in Chinese for a very long time. I have forgotten many words and phrases but there is a proverb that I still remember. It's my favourite Chinese proverb as I find it inspiring and it has helped me get through some bad days. I also feel that it's beautifully phrased.

山穷水尽疑无路

柳暗花明又一村

Loosely translated, it means there's always light at the end of the tunnel even when you cannot see any hope.
