Manchester United in the Champions League

Manchester United secured a champions league spot after beating Charlton 4-0. They were absolutely dominant. And Richardson played the best game of his career so far. I was stunned that Richardson, of all people, was capable of stunning long range shots. He hit the bar once and scored a screamer from outside the box. He celebrated by taking off his shirt and was subsequently booked. This booking is undeserved. It's a stupid ruling. Come on, this guy just scored his first ever Premiership goal for Man Utd and maybe his last one as well. So let the guy celebrate in whatever way he wants. Football is about passion. One player with no more passion for he club is van Nistelrooy. He was left out of the squad and went home. It's a sad end to a player who has scored so many goals for the club but who looked a shadow of his former self in recent weeks. I'm in favour of selling him. Hopefully for 10+ million pounds. With his sale, maybe we can bring in Fernando Torres for 20 million pounds. Torres is quick and should be able to fit into the United's style of play. Van nistelrooy doesn't seem to be able to fit inot the system n0wadays. If United can get Diarra for 15 million pounds, Riquelme for 8 million pounds and Gudjohnsen for 3 million pounds, United will be able to put in a strong challenge for the Champions League next season.
