Government bashing
I often hear opposition candidates criticising the government on various issues these few days. As a result, thoughts of criticising the government are circulating in my mind these few days. If I had a chance to go into parliament, i would question a few ministers and MPs...
To Mr Mah Bow Tan: What happened to Goal 2010? It's only 4 years away and I can't see how we can qualify for the World Cup. We can't even get into the Asian Cup. And we can't even beat a country like Palestine. No, wait, Palestine isn't even a country. They are a state run by terrorists. They even have to rely on Israel to collect taxes for them. So, how can Singapore, with our huge fundings, fail to beat a state which has trouble feeding its citizens? You might say that we are the best country in S.E Asia. But we haven't beaten Thailand, as far as I can remember. And we won the Tiger Cup with foreigners in our team. Foreign talent like Agu Casmir who can just disappear without any trace. Are you sure we are on the right track?
To Mr Yaacob Ibrahim: Why is the fence at the Kolam Ayer street soccer court not repaired? I've been playing there for 3-4 years and I haven't seen anyone come to repair the hole. The hole is dangerous because balls will roll through the hole down into the canal. While picking the ball, many people have slipped and fell. And can you build a shelter for the court? It would be great. At the same time, can you also raise the side fences? It's really irritating when the balls keep going out of the court. And if you have time, repair the door also. If you can upgrade the street soccer court, I will vote for you.
To Mr Teo Chee Hean: How's your leg? Is it better? I would like to ask you why is it that regulars are paid so well while NSFs are paid peanuts? Do they really do more work than NSFs? Can regulars be paid by their performance instead of their rank? Also, is it ok to change the caterer? SFI can do better considering the money they are getting.
To my MP: Whoever you are, can you please stand up? Because I have no idea who you are. For the 21 years that I've lived in my flat, I've never seen you. Can you come into my flat and have a chat with me and my family? Don't just walk past our flats when there is an election.
