An Inconvenient Truth
I just watched the documentary about global warming by Al Gore and I find it pretty engaging because I am interested in climate change. I have been taught from young by my parents never to waste resources and my family practise a number of conservation practices. It makes me cringe whenever I see people wasting resources wilfully. I believe it's not about the dollars and cents but rather a own personal responsibility to take care of the environment that we live in. Every one of us is responsible for the increase in global temperature and the disasters that come along with it. By doing little adjustments to our lives, we can play our part in saving the earth. For example, notes can be printed double sided and single sided notes can be used for doing rough work on the opposite unprinted side. If all of us don't do our part in conservation and continue wasting resources wantonly, the polar bears and penguins are going to be homeless soon. One day, it will be our children becoming homeless.
Interesting facts from the movie:
Climate change is not a myth. Of 928 peer reviewed scientific papers, not a single one disputed climate change.
10 of the hottest years in recorded history occured in the past 14 years.
The United States produces vehicles with such poor fuel efficiency that they even lag behind China. Their vehicles cannot pass fuel efficiency standards in China.
